Hi Meg! I just want to let you know, from my own personal experiences, that when I fear approaching those who appear "different" it is for fear of embarrassing *that* person, or, for fear of an angry response. I promise to try and approach people in the future, and to encourage Perri and the future one to do the same, with respect. I miss E & C! Give them hugs for me! xo

I was flipping through my Parents magazine last night (mostly looking for the Hallmark coupon) and I saw the title of your article. Looking at your beautiful family I was thinking why would anyone "stare" at them. I started reading your article and was so happy that I read it. Not only to reemphaize the need for compassion but because you were writing about my family as well. My 2 1/2 year old son was also born with Ectrodactyly. He has a thumb and two full fingers on his left hand and a thumb, full finger and small "pinky" finger on his right. It was so great to see other boys who are beautiful like my son. This lead me to find you here. Thank you so much for writing the article and for sharing photo's so that I can show my son that there are others out there that look just like he does.
